On March 23 IBBL (Integrated BioBank of Luxembourg) was handed a €1,500 cheque by the Rotary Club Junglinster and Syrdall as a gesture of solidarity and recognition.
On that occasion the Rotary members first took a tour of the institute and familiarised with its activities. A visit of the laboratories and the storage area for the biological samples were also on the agenda.
“It’s a pleasure for us, Rotarians, to be able to contribute with a small financial assistance to enhancing the health care sector in Luxembourg. It is an integral part of our Rotary members’ ‘genes’”, comments Claudine Erpelding, President of the RC Junglinster and Syrdall.
“We are honoured and grateful towards the Rotary Club for its generosity. This support recognises the importance of the biobank in the field of biomedical research and rewards all the efforts made by a passionate team”, welcomes Marc Vandelaer, IBBL’s CEO ad interim.
The kind support of the Rotary Club Junglinster and Syrdall contributed to the attribution of a multi-application centrifuge, which significantly enhanced IBBL’s efficiency in terms of PBMC isolation.
