IBBL (Integrated Biobank of Luxembourg) is pleased to announce that online applications for the University Biobanking Certificate are now open.
The lifelong learning ‘Principles of Biobanking’ course uniquely combines environmental and clinical principles of biobanking into one trans-disciplinary university certificate covering all technical, scientific and ethical/legal aspects. It was developed in collaboration with the University of Luxembourg and is endorsed by ISBER (International Society for Biological and Environmental Repositories).
The 2019 edition of the course, which takes place every 2 years, will run from June 3rd 2019 to June 21st, with the exam taking place on June 24th. Prospective students can apply online until May 19th through the University of Luxembourg’s portal.
The 2017 edition provided an international group of 13 students from Africa, Asia and Europe with the opportunity to acquire an in-depth understanding of all the aspects of biobanking, but also to exchange knowledge and skills across various fields within biobanking.
