November 2018 marks the 10th anniversary of IBBL’s creation. Its evolution and key achievements over the past decade are portrayed and narrated by the biobank’s most important asset…the staff!
A prefabricated building, a small team of scientists, a ‘start-up’ feel…that was IBBL at its inception 10 years ago, perfectly representing the spirit of the then budding life-science community in Luxembourg. Fast-forward to 2018, the biobank is now an established player in the biomedical research landscape, both in Luxembourg and beyond its borders. Boasting a broad and diverse portfolio of projects across areas such as Parkinson’s Disease, cancer, diabetes and microbiome, and with 2,000 m2 of state-of-the-art labs, IBBL is working relentlessly to support the translation of research results into therapeutic applications, for the benefit of patients.
