As a biobank, we host a large collection of well-annotated human biological samples that we make available to researchers from industry and academia.

We have a range of human samples in inventory. These include primary samples form blood, tissue, urine, saliva, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and stool, as well as their derivatives (e.g. serum, PBMCs, DNA). All of our samples are extensively annotated with clinical data, such as medical history, medication and staging/grading.

In line with our strategic goals, our collection focuses primarily on cancer, diabetes, neurodegenerative diseases and healthy controls. In addition to our own collection, we also store the collection for the BIOMARKAPD project of the EU Joint Programme – Neurodegenerative Disease Research (JPND), which ended in December 2015.
